To make money?

:)

But there are products that do work, I prefer the natural ones.

well, there are oils that work on this site- but no hairspray or shampoos there- the most interesting one is the Porcelain Doll with orchid extract- I adore it, makes my skin smooth and firm

What Shampoo, conditioner, or hair product makes your hair feel and look great?

i want to try and new hair product to make my hair shiny and soft.

So is there any great hair products yu used that worked great? What Shampoo, conditioner, or hair product makes your hair feel and look great?
pantene bruntette hair expressions or wqtev colr hair my hairs always awesomeWhat Shampoo, conditioner, or hair product makes your hair feel and look great?
I LOVE LOVE LOVE herbal essences shampoo and conditioner :) it makes hair smell wonderful.

john frieda 'weather works' is also good and so is vitamin e tresemme (vitamin e makes hair soft and shiny)

as for products i normally use:

-garnier fructis sleek and shine (tames frizzy hair)

-herbal essences long term relationship split end mender (makes hair super soft)

-got2b smooth operator smoothing lustre lotion (makes hair smell great/makes it soft)

hope i helped! :)
The GREAT ones that I use is the Herbal Ensensses, Hydralishious, self-targeting shampoo, and the feather weight conditioner. Not that my hair is thin I just got this from a magazine. But these two products makes my hair so soft. Also I switch between the Aveeno as well, the Nourish plus Moisturize shampoo and conditoner. ALL of these work great. Also when I want to put heat on my hair i use this stuff called CHI Silk Fusion, gel. That heat protectant makes your hair even shinyer and soft.

Hope I helped!=)

If any more questions than please ask.
I start with Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight shampoo.

It smells awesome, and makes my hair so straight and shiny!

Then I condition with L'Oreal Paris Vive Pro Hydra-Gloss Moisturizing conditioner.

(I know, it's a long name).

They both work awesome, and you can buy them at any drug store or super market that carries hair products.

:]
Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree.

It's pretty expensive (around $15) but you get your money's worth. My hair is SOOOOO much better! Less unruly, more bounce, and, the best part? It's ALL NATURAL!!! Read the ingredients, you can't find a chemical on there! It's the best shampoo/conditioner system I've ever used!
well i use suave coconut shampoo %26amp; conditioner, its cheap and makes your hair smell good:)
herbel essences has great hairproducts

Is there a shampoo or hair care product that I can use to help my hair grow longer faster?

I want to grow out my hair long and I want to speed it up. I'm trying to drink milk to speed up the proteins made but I want something that will work faster. Any home recipes or products I can buy? anything can help thanks!!!Is there a shampoo or hair care product that I can use to help my hair grow longer faster?
Two words: Prenatal VitaminsIs there a shampoo or hair care product that I can use to help my hair grow longer faster?
nioxin products
Yes - Pick Stephani answer. My best friend has her cosmetology license. She is taking prenatal vitamins and says they are working.
i've heard that taking prenatal vitamins makes your hair and nails grow faster
maine and tail is a great one to use my sister started using it and her hair went from her shoulders to her waist in a year. you can get it at wal mart, wal greens ,kmart ect.
My mom is a hairdresser and she says that there is no shampoo that really works to regrow hiar/ make it longer but I'm taking a vitamin that you can get at walmart that is called biotin. i take 3 capsules a day (2 in morn , 1 at night) and my hair has grown 1-3 inches each month and is still growing really fast. the longer you are on it the faster you hair and nails will grow. it also helps your skin apper clearer and have a natural glow!!
There is nothing to speed up the process of hair growth, but there definitely are ways that you can make your hair healthy.

You could try Pantene Pro-V breakage Control to reduce the split ends.

Biotin also helps as well as a good multi vitamin or prenatal vitamin.
Mane %26amp; Tail, it is a horse shampoo, that is safe for us as well. It does help your hair to be stronger and grow faster. You can buy it at walmart in the shampoo dept.
I have some bad news...

You can't make your hair grow faster than it's normal rate, everything you hear....massaging scalps, using special shampoos, etc, they're all myths. Every hair stylist I've seen have said that to me.

Just focus on keeping it healthy and you should be fine.
i'm not sure that there's anything out there like that.. XD
there isnt a product but just by getting your hair trimmed regularly. i have been doing that and in about a year my hair went from middle of upper back to my butt.
I have heard that Tale %26amp; Mane shampoo works the best.

you can buy it at walmart. and it is supposed to make your hair grow stronger and faster.!

and try taking iron supplements.they also help hair grow stronger and faster.!!

and make hair healthier.

hope i helped=]
Re-Grow.....get it from the beanty supply.....
There's a new line from Herbal Essences that's called Longterm Relationship :) I haven't used it yet %26amp; there is also something called Hair, Skin, %26amp; Nails that you can buy on the HomeShoppingNetwork that people I know have tried.
i dontthink so.
Rinsing your hair with apple cider vinegar and sage tea helps in hair growth. Boil rosemary leaves in water and use this water while washing your hair daily to improve hair growth. Try http://solutionsforhairgrowth.blogspot.c鈥?/a> for more details.

What type of Shampoo is best for cleaning all product out of your hair?

I have blonde hair but use quite a bit of product on it. I normally use moisturising/repairing shampoos but even after I wash my hair good and thoroughly, my hair still feels weighty. Is there are good, normal priced shampoo that will sort of deep clean my hair, removing all the product and make it feel lighter and look more blonder (rather than so dull looking)? What type of Shampoo is best for cleaning all product out of your hair?
Hi,

I think you need a shampoo which has natural ingredients. . There is no shampoo free of chemical but the one that I found closest to being natural is a Ziravie shampoo. It removes all chemicals and leave a quote of natural ingredients plus it hydrates the scalp.

Your last rinse should be with spring water and it should be of room temprature because that is what helps to close the poses of the scalp. and leaves the hair light weight

Detailed information on www.ziravie.comWhat type of Shampoo is best for cleaning all product out of your hair?
Moisturising shampoos can do that its kinda like if you over moisturise you skin it can feel greasy

Tony %26amp; Guy do one that cleans your hair of product build up and they do a small version of it so you can try it out and this size is also good because you dont need to use it everyday so its good for every so often and its cheaper.

I use John Frieda moisurising shampoo for blonde hair its relly good and doesnt make hair feel ';unwashed';
I too hate it when you can feel conditioners coating your hair. Now don't laugh, but what I think is a good stripping shampoo is Breck which is available at dollar stores. I use the kind that is pink in color. For me anyways, it totally strips other conditioners, etc. off my hair %26amp; my hair feels clean %26amp; free of stuff. It's only a dollar. Give it a try!
Head %26amp; shoulders is really good and gets rid of dandruff.

I'm blonde to and for christmas I got ';Mark Hill'; hair products including shampoo for blonds, conditioner for blonds and hairspray for blonds.

There meant to make sure you stay naturally blonde.
Borax - powder available from the chemist. Shampoo once with whatever you normally use, then reshampoo but add about a tablespoon to the shampoo - really get into your scalp with it. Condition well after. Result is shiny shiny product free hair and no harm either!
I use Shampure by Aveda but another good one is Pantene clarifying shampoo.

http://www.boots.com/brandtreatment/prod鈥?/a>
the best thing is bath salts!! wash hair, then rub the salts through the mid to bottom of your hair not the roots, then shampoo again to them out!

your hair will be quite fluffy after you do this but it does the trick!
I agree with Dink - the tres emme deep cleansing one is brilliant and it's really fresh smelling too. or something with tea tree and mint cos it really clears your head too makes u feel really awake and removes all the crap ;)
every now and then (not every day) wash your hair with ordinary washing up liquid, it will get rid of everything for a ulta clean feeling, then do it again 3 or 4 weeks later

xxx vici
i found pantene clarifying shampoo good, as a budget way of removing product build up, i think someone else mentioned it too.
I use apple cider vinegar.
use Timoteo it is the best for Blondie hair i use it
try Tresemme deep cleansing
use olive oil :)

Olive oil helps. Rub olive oil into the scalp and massage to promote hair growth , leave for 1 hour and wash. Try http://solutionsforhairgrowth.blogspot.c鈥?/a> for more remedies and details.

Are there any hair products/shampoos that will make my hair grow faster?
If your healthy your hair will grow about 1/8 to 1/2 inch in 6 weeks. I suggest vitamins, prenatal vitamins, and supper biotin. I don`t know of anything as far as products (shampoo or anything you can put on topically) that has ever been scientifically proven to make your hair grow. GOOD LUCK!!Are there any hair products/shampoos that will make my hair grow faster?

If I use styling products, how can I wash my hair until it's my shampoo day? Shampoo 2-3/week?

Normally, shampooing your hair is like 2-3 times a week. Let's say on my non- washing day I use styling products on my hair, do I have to wait until the day I have to shampoo my hair(but I will have all those chemicals/residue if I wait) or I should wash my hair with every styling products I use?If I use styling products, how can I wash my hair until it's my shampoo day? Shampoo 2-3/week?
Yes you should wait on the day you shampoo(wash) your hair.

Should we use natural organic products 4 EVERYTHING? skin, cleaning, etc. Organic shampoo leaves my hair oily!

Regular shampoo- I go at least a full day w/regular ';fresh'; hair, shall we say.

I used organic shampoo late last night and this morning I had such a horrible itchiness in my hair that I had to shower instantly!

    What is going on?

And do all products have so many toxins and chemicals that we should evolve completely into an all-out organic revolution?

Thanks.Should we use natural organic products 4 EVERYTHING? skin, cleaning, etc. Organic shampoo leaves my hair oily!
Hi, there. Using organic products is definitely better for you. But ... a lot of shampoos marked ';organic'; or ';all-natural'; actually contain many of the same toxic chemicals that off-the-shelf products do. Be sure to avoid any product containing Sodium Lauryl or Laureth Sulfoacetate. Those products are known carcinogens that are absorbed by the body and which remain in one's system for over 10 years. As they accumulate, they have the capacity to become mutagenic and affect one's DNA.

Your itchy scalp the next day is probably a good indicator that you have a sensitivity/allergy to the product you tried. Try to find one that is as pure and simple as possible. A true Castille liquid soap should be good for your hair. Castille meaning that it's made out of Olive Oil and no other oils. If you can find a truly natural product that doesn't cause itching but does leave your hair a bit oily, try adding a few drops of tea tree oil to the bottle. You can also thin the shampoo with a small amount of rubbing alcohol. Those aren't great remedies for the problem, but they will work.

As for the oiliness, I've had the same experience. One thing that might help is to rinse your hair in organic apple cider vinegar immediately after you shampoo. Use the cider as a rinse and then rinse with warm--not hot--water.

If you have access to any soapmakers in your area, I strongly recommend trying one of their shampoo bars or liquid soaps. I own an organic body care company, but you're best bet is to find someone local to you.

I feel your pain. Hang in there and keep searching. There are excellent products available!!

I'm traveling out of the country soon and need to stock up on some mini supplies - where's the best place to go for a one-stop shop? What stores carry the best assortment of travel products - ie mini shampoos, conditioners, etc?
Have you tried to look at some dollar stores. That is the best place to get them. Or you can try out Walmart or any department stores would have them in stock. But my best bet would be the dollar store. What stores carry the best assortment of travel products - ie mini shampoos, conditioners, etc?
Sephora and drugstores usually carry mini fillable bottle kits that can be filled up with multiple products. It is cheaper to use these type of bottles than wasting money on mini products.
    Target has tons of those!
Walmart has some and I think Target has some to.
I can never find my favorite products in 3 oz sizes. I just buy empty bottles and keep refilling them with what I like.

Drug stores usually have a whole aisle with mini-toiletries. Try CVS, Walgreens, or Eckerd!

Which are the best curly hair products in India especially shampoos and conditioners.?

I have tried dove, garnier and even homemade conditioners like eggs but none of these gave me satisfactory results. The hairs are soft for some hours and again they become dry anf frizzes appear. Shampoos were also no good; most of them contain laurel ether sulphate which is like an enemy of curly hairs. My hairs look good when they are wet but as soon as they get dried ; they look horrible. Perhaps they need something with high moisture content. Please help.Which are the best curly hair products in India especially shampoos and conditioners.?

What opportunity can i make to ';taint'; someones shampoo or hair products with hair remover?

theres a old classmate/ aquintance i say hi 2 small talk etc... but i want to get a mate (rather than myself or i look guilty) to somehow put hair remover in her shampoo or conditioner.

I need suggestions of how 2 make an oppertunutity to do this or hav this dun by a mate.

i know this sounds pathetic school girl prank, but it goes deeper than that; the ***** found out i wore a wig and screamed laughing telling my classm8s and i want her 2 go thru the humiliation i went thru so it 4 a very gud cause! thnxWhat opportunity can i make to ';taint'; someones shampoo or hair products with hair remover?
Let things rest. You are not the giver of punishment, punishment will come to those who have hurt you but it's not your place to seek out revenge. We all have people that have done something to us but we have to let it go. Forgiveness is key. If you are still bothered by this, you should go to counseling. There's no shame in counseling, it's the best thing I've ever done. What opportunity can i make to ';taint'; someones shampoo or hair products with hair remover?
    Yeah you're pathetic.

If it went ';deeper'; than that, you'd realize that what you're doing is stupid and catty.

Girls like you are the reason my friends are all guys...
thats a sick thing to do, and will make you as bad as her or worse. don't stoop to her level. be the bigger person. it will also just draw more attention to the fact you wear a wig and make everyone more aware of it whereas they will forget about it soon enough if you let it go.

it will also make her seek revenge - probably be pulling your wig off, to do the same thing yuove done to her. and do you really think she wouldnt guess it was you who had done it? it would be very obvious you were behind it. she'll get her karma, dont worry. but if you do this terrible thing, you'll get bad karma too.

  • What are the best products to use for natural hair...i.e shampoo, conditioner, oils..etc?

I use natural products like Giovanni Direct Leave-in, and Wen cleansing conditioner for my hair. I also use raw shea and cocoa butters and these are great for moisturizing hair. I also use natural oils for my hair like olive oil, coconut oil, and jojoba oils. You can find most natural and raw stuff at health foods store and of course, oils like jojoba and grapeseed can be found at a grocery store's cooking isle.

What works best for your hair will depend on what your hair likes and everyone's hair doesn't like the same things. Some people don't like Giovanni or Wen, but my hair loves them, and consequently, my hair doesn't like Garneir (sp), but some people swear by those products. You just have to try different ones through trial and error because what is ';best'; is not absolute, it's a matter of what your hair likes. What are the best products to use for natural hair...i.e shampoo, conditioner, oils..etc?
    Is your hair thick?fine?oily?dry? etc

Just saying natural hair is hardly anything to comment on.

To keep your hair looking good naturally

Use a great conditioner and shampoo.

Salon quality shampoos are usually better than store shampoos and last longer however if you can't afford it, herbal essences are usually my second choice.

Depending on whether you straighten or blowdry- get some good quality heat defense. This is probably the most important thing to buy for your hair because without it your hair can turn to a dried out mess.

You shouldnt really need anything else. Using tonnes of products isnt really good for your hair in general so stick to the basics.

A good shampoo, A good Heat defense, A good conditioner and possibly a light hold spray if you use it and make sure you condition your hair well and get it trimmed every 6-8weeks :)What are the best products to use for natural hair...i.e shampoo, conditioner, oils..etc?
I use VO5 shampoo and conditioner and its the best. Plus its affordable and doesn't test on animals.
    herbal essence super clean :)

If you have any child shampoo, you can use that.I ran out of dog shampoo and was wondering if there is any home products I could use to wash my dog with.?
Any kind of regular shampoo should work. I use VO5I ran out of dog shampoo and was wondering if there is any home products I could use to wash my dog with.?
Itry to always use a gentle DOG shampoo, but I buy people conitioner for my dogs and they always smell so good and their fur is really soft and shiny.
do u have dish washer shampoo dat works wit ma dogs
you could use ivory soap it well work on for your dog i use it on

    mine and she was fine
use something thats not so strong AND MAKE SURE U READ THE LABEL FRONT AND BACK CUZ IT MIGHT SAY NOT ANIMAL TESTED!!!
I wouldn't use detergent myself, but I do use baby shampoo. I've been using it for many years and never had a problem with it. *Always* test a tiny bit of it (no matter what you use) on your dogs skin and wait a few hours to be sure that they do not have an allergic reaction to it. If any irritation occurs on the test site, do not use it.

Edit: ';Not animal tested'; on hair products means that it isn't tested on lab animals to check for reactions that might occur in humans. (ie: sprayed in their eyes...) If a bottle doesn't say that, it does not mean it is safe for your dog.
DON'T use human shampoo because it has a higer PH than dog shampoo. I have used Dawn or dove dish soap. Since it is so concentrated you don thave to use alot.
im not sure...but i know wal-mart sells dog shampoo for $1.34

    its cheap, but it works!
baby shampoo! i have 2 beagles that love to ';roll'; around in whatever stinky stuff they find in the yard, and get bathed often. you can get generic or dollar store stuff cheaply...regular dog shampoo is pricey. do not use other shampoo, dish det. laundry det. bar soap as these have a much higher ph value and can irritate and dry the skin....had lots of dogs and baby shampoo it is.
Johnson and Johnson No Tears Baby Shampoo
Not unless you have baby shampoo. Just about anything else will dry out the dog's skin so bad he/she will itch like crazy or may cause a severe rash
It is best to use a dog shampoo but in a pinch you could use a bit of Joy or Ivory.
1,don't use human products on dogs, other than Head and shoulders,no conditioner, since it clogs the oil in the dogs pores and cause bacteria to start, if you use the head and shoulders make sure its the blue bottle and rinse the dog really good to remove all the soap. until you get to the store to get the product you need.
Baby shampoo works well. I also bought a bar of pine tar soap and use that once in a while. It soothes the dogs skin. I'm surprised that a vet recommended Dawn dish detergent because that would take out the natural skin oils and leave the dog itchy with dry skin.
Many people really like Johnson's baby shampoo if you have that around. Dawn dishwashing detergent (the blue one only) is good if your dog has fleas (dilute and rinse well).
I use pantene on my dog every now and then. human shampoos can be irritating to the dogs skin but if you run out and need to give the dog a bath using it every now and then is alright.
My vet says - Dawn dish soap
We just use the cheap drugstore shampoo for people.
Any people shampoo is fine for dogs as long as it is very high in Lanolin. I often use Johnson's Baby Shampoo on my dogs head and face area.
    It is OK to use regular shampoo on your dog once in a while or in a pinch. Baby shampoo would be better because it is tearless. If you do use regular shampoo, don't get it in the dogs eyes. PLEASE DON'T USE DISH SOAP! Not only will it dry out your dogs coat but if you get just a little in their eyes ';oh man can it cause problems';

Here is the thing, God put special oils on a dogs coat to insulate him from the elements. Human shampoo is designed to get every last bit of oil out of our hair. You really should not use anything to shampoo your dog except shampoo designed for dogs. If you mess up the PH balance you are just inviting all kinds of skin problems. It is OK to use people conditioner all the time. Please take some time to purchase some pet products. You will be glad you did.
Amway LOC will also work as a flea shampoo and is organic.

...but I don't sell it and don't want to get into the business. I'm a purchaser only.

What is the worst shampoo, conditioner, or hair product YOU have ever used? And the best?

    For me...

    WORST:

    Product- White Rain Hairspray

    BEST:

    Shampoo/Conditioner: Aussie

Product- Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Smoothing Milk

And you? What is the worst shampoo, conditioner, or hair product YOU have ever used? And the best?
Well although I loved the way my hair smelled after using V05 it left my hair totally tangled, and hair product well i don't really use any except maybe mouse but i hated the white rain hairspray as well. Best would be Head and Shoulders it does wonders on my hair and smells fresh all day, product this 3 minute pantene hair treatment leaves hair like it has never been damaged.

Do products really have the ingredients they claim to have. E.g. ';henna/almond/lemon'; shampoo ??

I have always wondered about this and would love to know whether we can really believe labels. Is there any public institution responsible for checking the labelling of products and whether the labels are fact or fiction?Do products really have the ingredients they claim to have. E.g. ';henna/almond/lemon'; shampoo ??
I believe they have the abstract like the residue of the ingredients they suppose to have like some sodas that say strawberry don't have strawberries.Do products really have the ingredients they claim to have. E.g. ';henna/almond/lemon'; shampoo ??
I'm pretty sure they're fact. I remember hearing that they list the ingredients beginning with the one with the most amount in the product, and each ingredient after that becomes successively smaller in amount.
if it is labeled in the the ingredients list it HAS to be there legally if its not you can sue the crap out of them...first one one the list is the one thats in it the most decreasing as the list goes on the last one will be the least used ingredient... someone above me also said that to...
if it is in the ingredients list, it should be real.

but if it is in the title or description of the product, that is no promise.

I love using herbal essences and dove. They make your hair look good and give it a nice scent as well :)
The absolute best is the new brand called Organix. It has organic active ingredients and is sulfate free so it wont dry out your hair, and will leave your hair soft, silky and manageable, plus...it smells absolutely awesome! Organix has different collections for different hair types which are all amazing! You can get Organix at Target, Albertsons, Kroger, Duane Reade, Bed Bath %26amp; Beyond, amazon, Safeway, etc. You'll love it!!!

    herbal essences smells amzing!
Either John Freida or ';So Sexy'; by Victoria Secret. Both have very light but feminin smells. Not fruity or anything, just light and pretty. I love both of them. =)
    loreal Paris products smell good.
TIGI products smell the best. like what you've mentioned bedhead and catwalk. they're expensive though. but they do work.

cheaper alternatives would include garnier fructis or headnshoulders.
Infusion 23 has a really nice fragrance and it works good too. Besides the shampoo and conditioner, you can also get the leave in conditioner treatment.
herbal essences or garnier fructice or pantene pro-v
bed head product are really good products and they are directed towards a young hip crowd which you can tell by the names of their products IE:boy toy ,after party, curls rock and so one they all have really good smells and are very moisturising
Aveda, still has some of the best scented products on the market..... plus they use essential oils which can also be good for your hair.

Some of the very best products I have seen formulated is the 4 products that are the newest that are made for curly hair...

this line is fantastic and many os us use it that don't have curly hair....that has nothing to do with how shampoos and condtioners work.....whether hair is curly or straight...so don't pay attention to that....

That and then the shampoo of Avedas that has been around for at least 15 years I know of....Shampure...........its also wonderful if 'scent' is your love.
I make a spritzer out of my perfume and spray it in my hair before blowdrying.

Personally i'd go for any Dove shampoo %26amp; conditoner for the simple yet sweet smell. It also keeps your hair feeling soft! Trust me, I use the damage repair shampoo and my hair is always dry but after I use the product it feels really hydrated!
    herbal essences

smells greaaaaaaaaaaaat and last in hair till the next wash
Fructice is gorgeous! or herbal essence! both sweet and fruity. also a little flirty!

P.S. i am shampoo hair loverHow bring garner frutis shampoo and condition and hair product without mom or dad see or hear?
are you a fragrance freek? do you know ,if you wash your hair every day. you will spoil it. its nice to feel clean n fresh i know , but ,dont change the texture of your hair . now,if its the fragrance you like, why not wash a flannel in it ,then dry it ,n keep it under your pillow. mmmmmHow bring garner frutis shampoo and condition and hair product without mom or dad see or hear?
    Ok. First question.

Why do you want to wash your hair after you just took a shower? And another question. Why not just do it in the same sink as the bathroom that you took a shower in? And the final one. WHO CARES!
Why is this a problem! Garner products for hair are not illegal!
Are your parents shampoo Nazis or what? And why are you washing your hair in the basement sink? Don't you have a shower??
For what? You just washed your hair, did you not?

Are there shampoos and conditioners or products that can make my hair grow longer/faster?

there is a new line from herbal essences that promises to keep long hair healthy as it grows longer. I'm not sure what its called, but I know its in a red container and has something about a ';long term relationship'; on itAre there shampoos and conditioners or products that can make my hair grow longer/faster?

There's a hair vitamin that helps ur hair to grow, but i don't know what the name of it. My aunt started taking them and her hair has gotten long and health and beautiful. There's also that shampoo, called horse shampoo which i heard it's helps hair grow. And u could also get ur split ends cut a least once or every other month. It's also helps hair grow, good luck.
Yes there is but i should warn you that hair growth shampoos leak into your scalp and make you grow hair EVERYWHERE! trust me just let it grow out.

    DOVE THERAPY!

the blue bottles, trust me, on monday i accidently burned my hair with my straightener with FULL BLAST, so it was horrible, crispy, dry, and totally damaged, and i had no other way to fix it, but my friend told me to use this shampoo and i bought it TODAY and used it not to long ago during my shower, and it already felt revived, but not to much, i think i'll have to use it for about 3 more days for it to fully heal!!Watz the best shampoo + conditioner/ any hair products?
I like garnier fructis but I got some nice stuff from the salon once called KMH or KHM something like that it was 30 bucks though, but I really think the garnier fructis stuff worked wonderfully.
I like to use pantene, it makes my hair smooth and soft
    Head and shoulders.
My hair is really frizzy too so what I usually do is use a straightener in the morning. There are some good straightener's in London Drugs.
i use sauve...the conditioner is really good...try using more conditioner..
I prefer dove and tresemme because it's affordable and it rivals that of professional products.
My girlfriend uses a product called SLEEK by Matrix she loves it give it a try.
I'm sure your hair isn't ugly. But I also have curly hair and I use Herbal Essences or Garnier Fructis. AFter my shower, I use this anti-frizz creme thats for hair that frizzes as it dries and it is called Sunsilk. I also use Herbal Essences mousse that works really well. Tell me if it works!
I prefer pantene. Also when you are done styling try Tigi Bed Head Shine Junkie. It really smooths things out
    garnei and pantine
    PANTENE
pantene, garnier, dove, brilliant brunette (if ur brunette) sheer blonde (if your blonde) biolage they are good
Use Pantene especially their conditioner. The Ice Shine one is really good. It's the one I use and I have dry and frizzy hair too. By the way I'm sure your hair isn't ugly!

Shampoo with no harsh chemicals and with natural products (hopefully)?

Are there ANY out there? I'm sick and tired of my hair ending up like twigs because of chemicals in shampoos and conditioners!Shampoo with no harsh chemicals and with natural products (hopefully)?
It's not always the chemicals in your shampooo and conditioners, though I agree that can be the problem often. Check your diet. Are you getting enough Omega 3 and 6's? Try Flaxseed Oil, and cooking with extra virgin olive oil. That will improve the texture of your hair and skin all-over! Sometimes the local water can be the issue! I've found that when our local lakes ';turn over,'; everything goes crazy! But I use Satinique. I found that it's wonderful for my hair, and also doesn't irritate the skin on my back. Here's the website, give it a try. http://krogers2.qhealthbeauty.com/Produc鈥?/a>Shampoo with no harsh chemicals and with natural products (hopefully)?
i love using shampoo by A'kin. It's smells wonderful and i think is completely organic. A little on the pricey side though~ :)
well i don't know of Any herbal remedies, but the rumor is that Dove moisturizing shampoo and conditioner is inexpensive and doesn't strip your hair of the 'good chemicals' it works really good for me i recently switched from a professional line and enjoy this much better. my hair is a nice , soft texture, smells good, and is very manageable. but everyone has different hair, so i would suggest going to a salon and see what they recommend. best of luck to you :)

there are herbal shampoos being marketed nowadays ... even Avon have it.
try tressamay it works wonders with my hair and my friends
Yes nowadays you can get coconut based foaming agents. You need more help you can write to me directly or even ask here for more details. Coconut based shampoo and conditioners are fantastic. Hair is much softer and does not fall as much as other shampoos cause.
There is this hair product line called Pureology. Their stuff is totally vegan based.Their products are made of natural ingredients and not tested on animals. It doesn't leave your hair oily or dry. I swear by this product 100%. You can find it at any hair salon or beauty supply shop. Or you can go online at www.salonsavings.com. I hope that you find what you are looking for.

What is the best Shampoo, Conditioner, hair products for coarse hair?

    Hello,

I have course hair that is not dry, just coarse. When I jsut wash and towel dry it, it gets HUGE!!! It looks like a mix between Gilda Radner and Howard Stern. My hair is a little bit longer than soulder length, I can't go shorter because the weght helps it lay down somewhat. I currently use Redken All soft shampoo and conditioner. Ideally I would like to just wash and towel dry and use a small amount of product to keep in looking sleek and shinny. When I use a flat iron it gets straight, but I still looke frizzy and have flyaways. Most of the time I just put it in a ponytail and forget it, but I am going to be 30 in 2 months and I would really like to start looking nicer. Thanks! What is the best Shampoo, Conditioner, hair products for coarse hair?
The best shampoo i found for frizzy hair is.

Triple moisture shampoo and the conditioner by Neutrogena it is this orange tube.. The price ranges from 5 to 7 depending where you live.. It helped me with my hair.. Its esp for frizzy hair try it =)

And when you are done put some anti-frizz serum in itWhat is the best Shampoo, Conditioner, hair products for coarse hair?
    Try these:

-TreSemme multi-vitamin 2 in 1 shampoo plus conditioner

    -Therapeutics Rx Leave-In Conditioner(around 10$)

    -Bain de Terre(Shampoo's and Conditioner)

    Hope this helps!
Try So Soft by Redken. I have thick, wavy hair with frizzies if I don't control it so I tried that. I had to stop using it after a month or so because it made my hair TOO soft and flat. The stuff worked well for me.

  • Why do most shampoo and conditioner products contain 3 or more types of alcohol? Does it help your hair?

I was reading all of my shampoo bottles. I have the following shampoos: herbal essences, john freida, pantene, head and shoulders, satinique, and dove... all of which contain high concentrations of alcohol. Is this supposed to help your hair because I believe that alcohol dries your hair out... when products claim to be moisturizing but have alcohol second on the ingredients list... i am a little confused. Is there a benefit to alcohol? If not, do you know of any products which do not contain this ingredient that actually improve your hair's softness, frizz, dryness, texture... help? Why do most shampoo and conditioner products contain 3 or more types of alcohol? Does it help your hair?
cetyl, cetearyl, and stearyl alcohol are all fatty alcohols, and they have moisturizing properties. They are good!

What's a good shampoo+conditioner and styling products fo' me?

My hair is pretty thick, and it's naturally straight, and can get frizzy.

It is coarse underneath but silky soft and fine on top.

I've used sun in on my hair and it's naturally medium/dirty blonde but now it's light blonde, and ALWAYS gets lightened by the sun.

And it's a little bit damaged, and I straighten%26amp;blowdry it everyday.

It's also pretty long and I'm trying to grow it out.

Here are some pics of mah hair.

i would try pantine and herbal essence i have used them both and i found out that they work best for me. you just need to kind of experiment with them see what one is making the most improvment for your hair . oh and for the straightening and blowdrying i use 'got2b' crazy sleek . it works really well its a lotion for your hair thats heat activated. i never thought my hair could feel or look so good with anything but this proved me wrong. its about $5 or $6 not exactly sure.
i love ur hair espically in pic 2, the color and that its straight. no offense but i can never have my hair any shorter than it is now. its up to my waist. but use Hairapy Sunsilk Hydra TLC

I use salon stuff, it's more expensive but chep stuff CAN wreck your hair. it happened to me :(. you can get cheaper salon stuff and london drugs. Also don't wash your hair everyday it damages ti. wash it every other day but just put a shower cap on.
    You're gorgeous :-)

I'd recommend Bed Head (by Tigi) Control freak or moisture maniac shampoo and conditioner. It's not cheap, but the results are really amazing! :-)
you should use pantene always smooth or ice shine. they tame frizz so well, even without blowdrying or straightening. if you wash your hair at night with this and then sleep on it, it tames frizz even better!
Stop straightening and blow-drying your hair... It damages your it...
Pantene works wonders. I LOVE IT. It's perfect for anybody.
I love Pantene and Dove. They both work amazing! Good luck and btw your hair's gorgeous!
tresseme then use redken outshine. or dove silky and straight.
    I LUV UR HAIR
My all time favorite haircare line is Nexxus. It is a salon product but can be be bought at Walmart and CVS. I think your hair would benefit from Nexxus Therappe Shampoo, Nexxus Humectress Conditioner and Nexxus Heat Protexx Styling Spray. If Nexxus is too pricey (I personally have to fall back to a cheaper brand when I can't manage to buy Nexxus.) I also like Pantene. I think the Repair and Protect line would work well for you. They also have a Smooth and Sleek line but I believe the reason your hair tends to be frizzy is due to damage so I would go with the Repair and Protect line. I also would not use anymore sun in, it is soooo damaging. I think yor hair is beautiful by the way. I wish mine was that thick!
I cant see the pictures darling.

But i reccomend pantene pro v. it fixes all the damage and makes your hair silky

Ok seriously, THE BEST shampoo/conditioner/any other products for damaged hair...i NEED to repair my hair!?

it's soo sooo damaged and i need the best possible haircare for damaged hair...i'm talking serious repair no bull alright? i have naturally curly hair i straighten blowdry color...you name it i do it and i NEED to know what THE best haircare is for repairing damaged hair....i don't wanna hear from anyone with naturally perfect straight hair that used something and how great it worked for them and the one split end they had alright i really need the best...if price weren't an issue at all what would you recommend to repair my hair...reduce split ends... make it look shinier healthier nicer all over WHAT DO I USE!? i've tried pantene i've tried garnier i've tried a lot but not everything so seriously the best stuff...any success stories at all? whatever you can tell me to help i want to hear! please and thank you!Ok seriously, THE BEST shampoo/conditioner/any other products for damaged hair...i NEED to repair my hair!?
I'd recommend Redken Overnight Treat. my hair's been really damaged before and it feels and looks amazing after using it only a few times.Ok seriously, THE BEST shampoo/conditioner/any other products for damaged hair...i NEED to repair my hair!?
Well: 1) stop doing all that because straightening it too much will definitely ruin your hair 2) colouring it a lot will make you loose hair faster as it will get stringier or w/e 3) use Thermasilk (it has a heating which will help repair it, thought it will / should take a month to see effects) 4) Use Thermasilk for like a couple months (use both the shampoo and you will def. need conditioner) and then if you stop straightening it too much you can switch to Pantene Pro-V Ice Shine.
the only products that you should use are silicone free.

silicone is a harsh chemical is most shampoos and conditioners that make hair more dry.

try 'v05 dry damaged and frizzy hair'

    it works like a charm.

ive been using it for years :)

Do you know where to purchase toxic free or minimized level for household products like detergents & shampoo?

There is a whole line of products called Free %26amp; Clear that are sold at Whole Foods Markets, Trader Joes, Sprouts, Henry's Markets and other ';green'; grocers. They make soap, shampoo, conditioners, detergent, cleaning products, etc.Do you know where to purchase toxic free or minimized level for household products like detergents %26amp; shampoo?
There are many natural cleaners for your household that are not toxic. Myself am not able to use chemical cleaners I have very bad skin allergies. I do have my hands on this natural cleaner that I use everywhere in my home. But this product is not sold in any store or market.

As far as shampoo I use a Tea Shampoo purchased from Sally's Beauty Supply, %26amp; bathing soap I can only use liquid soap such as tone or some natural liquid soaps are out there to purchase.Do you know where to purchase toxic free or minimized level for household products like detergents %26amp; shampoo?
Where do live? Are you looking to purchase online or retail?
    go to :melaleuca.com
giant @marine parade search : house hold essentials
If you care to learn to make your own soap, you will find it to be not only an enjoyable hobby but a source of income as well. It isn't hard. We've been making our own soaps, dish and laundry detergents and shampoo for years.

I noticed some people recommend liquid soaps. These are not all natural, since the increased water content requires a preservative of some kind to prevent mold and bacteria growth.

There are many natural soaps on the market. Most are inferior. Read the label. You'll find most natural soaps contain only coconut and palm oil, with some kind of ';special'; ingredient added such as lavender oil or tea trea, something like that. I make my soap using olive, coconut, palm and castor oils at the minimum.

Herbal Essences, Pantene, Tresemme or Dove work great. Other than Shampoo and Conditioner check out this video to help with your damaged hair. It gives some GREAT tips on how to grow healthy, shiny, and long hair.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=-Vu80ljcIPgGood shampoo+conditioner and styling products for my hair?
you definitely need to put a heat protecter in your hair before BLOW DRYING , not before flat ironing. i would suggest catwalk TIGI fashionista smooth %26amp; shine. dont use a whole lot though. also, if you blow dry your hair everyday , invest in an ionic hairdryer. as for shampoo and conditioner , i would recommend using biolage. i would NOT put any product in your hair other than the heat protectant before you blow dry. if you INSIST on using another product , opt for joiwhip mousse.
My hair is that same way. I usually buy my haircare products at the salon. I use biolage hair serum and just recently bought Nexxus shampoo and conditioner(the kind to straighten hair) at the grocery store at12.95 each and it has totally made my hair straight, shiny and wonderful. I have had people come up and ask what i've done different and that is the only thing. No one was more surprised than me!

btw Bed head hair spray smells like grapefruit(yummy!)
thanks, im probably not going to order offline though, but i will check out sally's.

about your hair, it looks super good. i always liked sunsilk with the added TLC. it smells good, and it leaves hair ultra smooth. but...with styling products, i don't know since i don't used much, but i know garnier fructisse has a whole bunch%26lt;%26lt;and it also smells good!! especially with the leave in conditioners and anti frizz stuff.
id kill to have your hair!! how long did it take u to grow it out?

you should go to sallys beauty and by this spray that protects your hair when u blow dry it and straighten it pray it on before you do so. or i have both products but another is anti breakage detangler you can find at walmart.

    hope i helped!!
its gonna be hard, try to straighten ur hair only once or twice a week. and once a week try some pantene hair mask. it really makes it soft, not frizze, and makes it feel like silk. if you live close to the ocean with a lot of humidity, try some pantene pro-v against frizz. before u blowdry or straighten use some tres semme heat tamer.
    it looks good,

but to stop damage and repait it. get some hair repair product like pantene rejuvinate, and don't bloe dry ur hair unhtill it is almost dry, as this will cut down you drying time, helping stop damage. and get a goood straightner that doesn't cause as much damage for every day use. and b4 u straighten use a heat protection product, b4 u blow dry too
    beautiful hair!!!

I use this stuff called bio-silk to make my hair shiny and soft looking. It could work for you to since you blow dry and flat iron your hair a lot.

Hope you find something that works for you.

thanks for answering my question :)
Treseme are brilliant and so is pantane
aw ur so cute but yah use tres emm茅 and put in wet hair this serum: La COupe, shine %26amp; smooth, sleek. It works super well for defrizzing and stuff. BY the way is she ur twin sister??

Still, you shouldn't be putting your picture up online for all to see; you need to be a little more cautious and try not to plaster your pretty face all over the web. You wanted someone to tell you about you hair, well the picture should only have your hair. blur the face or something.

I'm not trying to lecture you like your guardian, but you've got to be much more careful. The web is the wild west, you needn't to assume that all people her are trust worth, because they're nawt.

Nioxin. You can order it online, or find at hair salons. Bit more $.

Is there any products I should avoid while I'm pregnant like paint, cleaning products, my dogs flea shampoo..

I would avoid paint and flea shampoo for sure. I suppose if the cleaning product was something mild, like Comet or Windex, it should be OK... I wouldn't go around using Lime-Away though! lol.Is there any products I should avoid while I'm pregnant like paint, cleaning products, my dogs flea shampoo..
You should avoid all that you listed and many more. Any cleaning chemical should be avoided unless it specifically states it's safe to use while pregnant.

Animal products should also be avoided but i don't think it would harm anything, just use a light scented kind and you should be okay.

Paints or any painting chemicals should definately not be used, if they have to be used in the home, i would say leave for up to 12 to 24 hours and ventilate the fumes as well as you can and while the products are being used.Is there any products I should avoid while I'm pregnant like paint, cleaning products, my dogs flea shampoo..

(Ticks bite, and carry lyme disease, if you get lyme disease it can be deadly to your developing baby)

    Don't eat fish

(Fish contains methylmercury which causes defects in the development of a child's brain)

Don't eat a lot of junk food

(Does not provide vitamins or protein, but fills you up. Takes up room in your stomach, prevents you from eating the nutrients you and your baby need)

    Avoid Vitamin A Supplements

(can cause birth defects and other problems especially in the first trimester. Natural is okay, supplements and foods that are artificially supplemented with Vitamin A are not okay)

    Don't get X-Rays

(Especially in early pregnancy. Risks of injury to the baby because of an x-ray is slim, but you should always inform your doctor or dentist before they take x-rays if you are pregnant)

Don't use CRT-style VDT's (Cathode Ray Tube Style Video Display Terminals)

    (Can lead to a miscarriage)

Don't watch the microwave while something is cooking

(Excessive microwave radiation can cause harm to a developing fetus)

    Don't use an electric blanket

(give off low level electromagnetic fields which can harm a developing baby)

Do not use a water bed

(heaters in water beds give off same thing as electric blankets and can cause the same effect)

    Don't drink tap water

(Can increase your risk of a miscarriage. Especially if you live in California)

Don't allow yourself to get stressed out

(avoid high psychological and physical stress at work and at home. High levels of stress can cause the fetus to be in stress)

Don't come in contact with pesticides

(Includes: insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, etc. Can cause all sorts of negative effects depending on chemical, length of exposure, age of fetus, and intensity of exposure. Products to avoid: roach bait traps, ant bait traps, no pest strips, household pest control products and hired pest control services, flea collars on dogs and cats, lawn care products, lawn care maintenance services, insecticides for lawn and garden)

Don't use paint or paint thinners while pregnant.

(If you must be around these products, wear a mask. Use water based paints only, make sure they are free of lead and mercury. Don't use oil based paints. Ventilate all rooms properly)

    Don't use strong household chemicals

(bleach, oven cleaners, strong foam cleaners, and other strong chemical cleaners should be avoided. Go with all natural, environmentally safe, low odor or no odor cleaning products instead)

Don't play around with your body temperature

(if your body temperature rises above 102 degrees, call your doctor immediately because their is potential danger to the fetus. Fevers from the common cold or flu, strenous exercise, and working outside in hot weather can raise your body temperature)

Don't use a sauna, hot tub, or take long hot baths

(these can raise your body temperature, see above)

Don't change the cat litter box

(Cat litter can expose you to toxoplasmosis which can cause birth defects)

    Don't touch uncooked red meat

(Uncooked red meat can expose you to toxoplasmosis which can cause birth defects. Always wear gloves if you must handle uncooked red meat while pregnant)

Don't come in contact with people who have herpes

(if you get herpes while pregnant, it can be transferred to the baby during delivery and lead to complications)

    Do:

    Do Get regular medical exams

(ensures the safety and health of you and the baby)

Do Meet the Recommended Daily Allowance of Folic Acid (reduces the risk of spinal bifida in the baby)

Do Get vaccinated against German Measles (Rubella) before you become pregnant and avoid people who have them

(can lead to miscarriages and fatal deformities)

    Do Take prenatal vitamins

(Guarantees you are getting the vitamins you and your baby need during your pregnancy. Can help your baby avoid getting diabetes)

    Do Eat plenty of protein

(essential for the baby's brain development. Protects against preeclampsia)

    Do Eat well

(Get plenty of vitamins, minerals, fiber, and other essential nutrients)

    Do Exercise

(watch your weight to ensure an easy delivery)

Do Get enough fat and cholesteral in your diet

(Help to absorb fat soluable vitamins like A, D, E, and K that help with strechable skin. Reduces the appearance of stretch marks. Helps to develop the baby's brain.

Fat is also necessary for the developing baby brain.

    Do Kegal Exercises

(can help avoid intense pain during birth. Helps gives the baby's head flexibility after he/she is born)

    Do Keep house plants around

(Will absorb and filter harmful chemicals in the air. Best kind: Spider plants which work at removing lots of chemicals including formaldehyde found in paint)

Do Avoid negative thoughts and actions and focus in on your baby

(prenatal bonding is important, stress and negative thoughts should be avoided as much as possible so infant feels secure when he/she enters the world)

Do Avoid traveling to foreign countries

(many foreign countries require special vaccinations to visit them, and you should not receive these vaccinations while pregnant)

Do Talk to your doctor about existing conditions and family medical history

(Your doctor can help you with a treatment plan that is appropriate for you and your baby. Don't forget to mention chronic problems, reproductive problems, diabetes, herpes, STD's, heart problems, epilepsy, and high blood pressure that you may have had in the past or that your family has a history of)

Flea shampoo is fine....just dont ingest it. i was a dog groomer while being pregnant. MAKE SURE you do not touch littler boxes. And avoit cats all together. Their feces containg a harmful bacteria which can cause Toxoplasmosis. That can seriously harm a fetus. Best of luck to you.
You can use just about anything you want BUT if it has a strong smell you should open a window or wear a mask.

Don't clean up any dog urine or feces as well as a cat.

    Your dogs shampoo is fine!
ask your doctor for more deatils but you should avoid inhaling anything with toxic chemical fumes like paint, nail polish, some adhesives, and cleaning products.

also avoid any direct contact with cat liter, dirty or clean, it contains a chemical that could be hazardous to a fetus, specially dirty cat liter because of the amonia.

avoid dying or bleaching your hair, your hair will not take to haircolor the same while you are pregnant. inhaling these chemicals or even coming into direct contact with them could be very hazardous to the fetus, this also because of amonia.
Painting my doctor said was a no-no. Told me to leave the house and let my hubby do it. Cleaning products I pretty much couldn't avoid. (If I didn't clean no one else probably would!). Not sure about flea-shampoo. If there is a 1-800# on the bottle I would call it first and they may be able to tell you if it's recommended or not. Hair dye is a no-no as well as pumping gas. Pretty much stear clear of anything with strong fumes. I found alot of scents bothered me when I was pregnant. Such as nail polish, cleaning products, perfumes, soaps, cooking meat (LOL), etc. Use your own common sense and I'm sure you'll be fine!
well I just had a son and, I have an other on the way. I dyed my hair well I was pregnet. Everything they say is bull.
You should avoid dangerous chemicals that could harm you are your baby. Paint is really not healthy for you to inhale during your pregnancy. Dog shampoo want hurt you but inhale to much could be harmful some cleaning products are harmful.

Is there a product (shampoo, conditioner, mousse, etc.) that will make straight hair curly?

like without curling, or if theres not anything like that, something that will enhance curls and keep them tight. Is there a product (shampoo, conditioner, mousse, etc.) that will make straight hair curly?
There are curl enhancing products on the market. I use two or three of them together to get the best results. Nexus has curl enhancing shampoo and conditioner that is truely good for your hair. I also use a couple of products from Garnier - Fruitice I think - one is a gel, the other an after-shampoo spray.

They do something to the way the hair shaft shapes itself when it dries - kind of like curling ribbon, I think, from what I have read.Is there a product (shampoo, conditioner, mousse, etc.) that will make straight hair curly?
You can use mousse to scrunch your hair and make it wavy, other than that I have no idea.

Product to remove shampoo build up for color treated hair?

My hair is colored black and I've tried using several different shampoos and conditioners for color treated hair but they all leave a sticky/oily residue at the scalp. Any suggestions on a products to use to remove the build up without fading my black hair and what shampoo to use for color treated hair that does not leave build up?Product to remove shampoo build up for color treated hair?
You have to use a clarifying shampoo - yes this will strip out some colour but you can resolve that by using a black semi - permanent afterwards, this will also do your hair good and give it shine, or skip the shampoo and just use the semi, it strips out build up too. I think the one mentioned above is probably a semi.

In future use a shampoo for dark hair, these have added plant colour that keeps your hair black and you don't get build up, Aveda do a great one (Black Malva) and Jason (a natural range from health food shops) do one also. Never use a 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner they are the worst, or any product with silicones in.Product to remove shampoo build up for color treated hair?
Unfortunately, because black (the worst possible hair colour) contains a lot of ingredients that are not in any other colour, it creates untold problems for the people -- most of whom don't know the difference!

One common solution to clean off any build-up from any product is baking soda (bicarbonate of soda). Mix about a tablespoon in a glass of warm water and then run that through your hair. You may want to work it well into the most affected areas. This loosens any foreign material on the hair, and then you can easily rinse it out. Some people like to use it BEFORE a shampoo and then shampoo it out.

Too many of the commercial shampoos are not good for you. They make the hair feel slick (the build-up) but that means it is leaving a coating on the hair. You want a plain simple ordinary basic shampoo without any of the additives that only increase the cost and don't contribute anything to making your hair clean. I also feel that most people use far too much shampoo on their hair, and don't rinse it out fully, and are shampooing their hair far too often. Some shampoos are extremely difficult to remove, so use only what you need (too expensive to waste) and make sure you rinse very well. Use the vinegar rinse periodically (it can dry your hair if used too often) to clean off any excess shampoo, and use the baking soda periodically as well just to be sure everything is kept clean and doesn't build-up for you.
I really like L'oreal Vitamino Colour, which you can buy at hairdressers. It removes build up and leaves hair in really good condition.
Try a kelating Shampoo. Mastey has a good one, called 'Use me first'.

    Malibu is the BEST.

What is the best clarifying shampoo, to remove product build up? ?
Honestly, and this may sound strange but I am totally serious. I use Ivory dishwashing liquid soap at least once a month as a clarifying shampoo. It is very gentle to your hair, but gets all of the residue out. Just be sure you use a good conditioner afterwards.
Try Ion Clarifying Shampoo. You can get it at Sally's. It's on sale right now for $4.99 I think.

  • Smelly shampoo/conditioner/hair products? PLEASE HELP!!!?

After I shampoo and condition my hair, I always straighten my hair in the morning. No matter how long I shampoo/condition my hair, it always smells ';dry'; and ';burned'; after I straighten it every morning. Is there any particular shampoo or conditioner that I can use to make my hair smell better? PLEASE HELP!!!!Smelly shampoo/conditioner/hair products? PLEASE HELP!!!?
A good idea is to get a nice smelling perfume, sprits in the air, and walk into it. (allow some to fall on you head too) dont go overbored.

i have the same problem, and i hate the smell of burned hair! dont you? lol

so yeah, try it. it works.Smelly shampoo/conditioner/hair products? PLEASE HELP!!!?
    Okay 1st, PUT DOWN THE STRAIGHTENER! The very first thing any stylist will tell you is that burned smell you have, is your hair burning. Your destroying your hair... it will fall out if you keep straightening it. I promise. You said it feels dry, thats because you use a straightener. I am also guessing you color your hair, or you use some type of chemical on it. You have what we call in the salon, very very overly porus hair. No matter what you do, you could bath in perfume, as soon as you put heat on your head, your over processed hair will burn because your processing it more. Also, if you have over porous hair, that means it takes much longer to dry, and your hair needs to be 100% dry for you to use that iron. Here is my suggestion;

    1) Stop putting chemicals and heat on your head. Deal with it, you need to get your hair healthy.

    2) Go to a salon or beauty supply store and purchase a deep conditioning treatment, or get on done once a week in a salon. Within a month I promise better improvement in your hair's health

    3) Buy TiGi's fashionista. It is a styling agent that protects your hair against heat. It costs 10.00 a bottle, you only need a nickel size amount and your good to go.

    4) If you are using shampoo or conditioner that you buy at a grocery store, etc. STOP. They contain a lot of alcohol in them, that will dry your hair more. Target sells products like Paul Mitchell and Biolage which are salon approved, but your paying the same price as you would in a salon, and I have to question why these products would sell to Target. Your 100% best bet is to go to a salon and buy products there. They are fool proof.

    5) Straighteners and blowdryers are not ment to be used everyday, heat will destroy your hair. You need to find other styling methods... besides, wavy and curly are whats in right now get with the program!
    i like suave
It's smelling burned because you are burning it. Either you have very fragile hair or your flat iron is way too hot for your hair or you're not using any kind of thermal protectant on it. Stop doing what you are doing and get a new game plan.
    Check out DHC at:

    www.DHCcare.com
    BIOSILK
If i were you i would not straighten it everyday...i used to and my hair was soooo damaged and looked terrible...even with a protectant on it ,it still will damage your hair!!Try only doing it once or twice a week instead and DEEP condition your hair..JOICO is the best ever!!
I would say theres something wrong with your flat iron i use mine all the time and have never had that problem. make sure you are using a thermal protector before you flat iron. as for smelly shampoos a strong one is Oatmeal honey by catwalk its good for distressed hair and it sounds like your is.
Do you use any type of heat protected spray? if not try FX brand it protects your hair from the heat and leaves it silky and smells soooooooo good it comes in a purple bottle.. k I hope I helped
You have to keep a positive mental attitude when you are shampooing. You can have the best shampoo in the world but it won't make a difference if you don't have the right frame of mind.
maybe you should let your hair dry first before straightening it

What is the best shampoo that prevents/removes product build-up?

Prell is amazing!!!! Oh my gosh I use it once every two weeks and my hair feels so clean and shiny. Not to mention it smells amazing. Quite a bargain for $3.00!! Definitely try it at least once, I promise you wont be disappointed.

What products will help African American hair grow (shampoo, conditioners, gel, grease, etc) any ideas?

My aunt spoke of paraffin oil What products will help African American hair grow (shampoo, conditioners, gel, grease, etc) any ideas?
I generally use Beauty4Ashes GodHead Max Moisture %26amp; Grow Shampoo and Conditioner, Carol's Daughter Khoret Amen Smoothie for Deep Conditioning, Tui Hair Oil/ Lisa's Elix (either or) to keep my scalp from getting dry, Tui Leave-In Conditioner (smells great and a light mist helps your ends) and Most IMPORTANT (to my hair anyway) is Nutiva Organic Coconut Oil. Its all natural, and is very good for your hair. I use it specifically for my ends, but its really good for your whole head, absorbs over night and isn't greasy, but leaves your hair feeling stronger.

I STAY AWAY from Pantene (its second most abundant ingredient after water is Petrolatum a derivate of Mineral Oil which we all know stunts black hair growth), and Mizani. The Beauty 4 Ashes stuff can be a little expensive, so if you don't want to splurge I recommend the Nexxus Line in conjunction with a Carol's Daughter Smoothie for deep conditioning and one of her oils/moisturizers like Healthy Hair Butter or Hair Milk. Hair is always growing. But it may not be getting longer, and that is a whole different problem. You need to make your question clear.

You are probably breaking your hair off. Your hair is very brittle, and the way we handle hair tends to break it very easily. Straight hair can be handled much harsher, but curly hair like yours is very delicate. It needs to be touched very little.

Wearing a ';natural'; style may be best, or covering it up in some way, or wearing it in braids. But braids that are too tight will pull the hair out and that is not good either. The less you do to your hair, the better. It is growing, but because of the curl you don't see it that much. And if you keep breaking it off, that doesn't help. There is nothing you can put on the outside to make hair grow ... it works according to its own schedule.
    crown and glory technique.

hair will grow at its own pace. it's based on genetics. to make sure it'll grow as long as possible and not break off, drink water, eat enough healthy protein such as fish, don't put too much product on your hair. stay away from shampoos with sulfates (sodium laureth, ammonium lauryl, etc.)

stay AWAY from anything with petroleum or mineral oil

some people swear by biotin and cod liver oil.

the one and only thing that makes my hair grow- putting it up in braids and not touching it. whenever i do that, it gets long. (i'm sure it's cause i'm not messing with it, and give it time to grow so i'm always surprised when i take the braids out). but anyway, that works for me. and drinking a lot more water (at least a liter a day)

There is nothing you can put on the outside to make hair grow ... it works according to its own schedule.

hair will grow at its own pace. it's based on genetics. to make sure it'll grow as long as possible and not break off, drink water, eat enough healthy protein such as fish, don't put too much product on your hair. stay away from shampoos with sulfates (sodium laureth, ammonium lauryl, etc.)

stay AWAY from anything with petroleum or mineral oil

some people swear by biotin and cod liver oil.

the one and only thing that makes my hair grow- putting it up in braids and not touching it. whenever i do that, it gets long. (i'm sure it's cause i'm not messing with it, and give it time to grow so i'm always surprised when i take the braids out). but anyway, that works for me. and drinking a lot more water (at least a liter a day)

    A Cream called,

    VIRGIN

(ignore the name, BUT THAT WHATS ITS CALLED, APPLY before bed because it smells funny)

What is your favourite shampoo and other hair products?

    and why??

thanksWhat is your favourite shampoo and other hair products?
Aussie. It's the only brand I've found that still makes products for combination hair (greasy at the roots, dry and damanged at the ends). It's a miracle for long hair. Plus, it smells great without being too floral or too fruity, and it makes my hair feel spectacular. What is your favourite shampoo and other hair products?
Absolutely love the Joico range. Bit more expensive but totally worth it. It is the best shampoo and conditioner range i have ever used and i have tried loads over the years. Also you can use less with each application so the bottles do last a long time.

Although it depends on what you want to achieve with your hair. Mine was really badly damaged after years of straightening it, getting highlights etc. I never thought i'd manage to repair it (or even believed it was possible). But this range has actually worked!

I've heard Frizz Ease can be great for fine curly hair. My friend uses this and has nothing but good things to say about it.
i really like the garnier fructis shampoo and conditioner, because it smells good and makes my hair stronger...

i also lie the herbal essence long term relationship leave in conditioner, be cause it smells amazing and helps reduce frizz and split ends,

and the V05 heat protection spray, because it helps my split ends!

on hair color i like clairol natural instincts, because its easy to use, and i don't have to commit to a certain color
I love Bed Head they work great and make my hair so soft and pretty curls, also i love loreal and herbeleces dont know how to spell but when you take a shower and use them and then style your hair its like the comercials your hair is beautiful and keeps them healthy and protects from damaging your hair with heated items like curling or straight irons

my favorite shampoo and conditioner is herbal essences because of the scents... their scents are sooooooo fragrant. my favorite hair product is anything to do with pantene because it actually does the job.
big sexy hair is amazing! the shampoo conditioner %26amp; all style products work wonders! i would never use anything else. they give major volume %26amp; still leave hair shiny %26amp; gorgeous%26lt;3 a little on the expensive side but well worth every penny
My fave shampoo is Alberto Balsam, the Free Me Freesia one(Purple One) because if you wash your hair properly with it it shines loads and feels really soft and smooth. Also it makes your hair smell GORGEOUS!
Kerostase (by L'Oreal) works great but its a bit too expensive for me. But I have to say, good old Head and Shoulders always makes my hair silky smooth, and its cheap!
I like 'faith in nature' shampoo and conditioner as they're good and they don't test on animals - a lot do, sadly.
    aussi
