What kind of shampoo or hair product should I use?

I have very thin hair that accumulates oil quickly. However, when my hair is clean, it's so thin that it blows around in the wind and gets really stringy and hard to manage when it's wet or when I sweat. Do they make shampoos or hair products designed to combat hair thinness, or, am I going to have to work with the genes that I've been given? Also, what shampoo works best for oily hair? One last thing - what kind of hair gel should I use to style my hair? I've heard that using a gel isn't the best option, but rather, I should use hair putty or something a little more solid than gel. What kind of shampoo or hair product should I use?
i'd suggest a women's volumising shampoo - it'll thivken your hair up a bit at least.

as for the oil all i can recommend is looking up specialist products - i know you're not alone in having oily hair so there should definately be something to help

gel will just make thin hair look thinner - wax maybe??What kind of shampoo or hair product should I use?
My friend has the same problem. She uses Aussie brand Cleanse and mend shampoo. It is actually for women, of course, but she says it works really well to stop the oiliness.
